A new year is full of promise for many, but can be a tough time of transition for families who are grieving the death of a loved one. Sad Isn't Bad family sessions give grieving children, adolescents and their families a chance to process the life changes they've experienced since the death of a loved one. Believe it or not, we even have fun together! And we remember that as those who grieve, we are not alone. We look forward to bringing more kids and families together at First Lutheran Church (327 S Minnesota Ave. in Sioux Falls) on Tuesday evenings, April 8, 15, 22 & 29. Each night of our session runs from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and includes free dinner and programming for all members of the family. Learn more about our program at www.sadisntbad.com, register online, or contact our Executive Director Krystal Pederson with any questions: call 605-299-2224 or email sadisntbad@gmail.com. At Sad Isn't Bad, families learn that it's okay to be sad when someone close to us dies. This non-denominational community program is open to all school-age children (k-12) and their parents or caregivers. In each free, four-week session, master's level professional counselors and social workers lead separate groups for children, adolescents and adults. A hot meal is included.
