Keep your mind and body active this summer through in-person day camps with Chess PLUS Sports! Does chess all day sound like too much? Don’t worry! Our Chess PLUS Lego camps bring extra variety to your child’s camp day by adding half-day Lego activities! Campers enjoy problem-solving activities on and off the chess board, and have fun all day long! Students will dive into fun chess activities & variants of chess, engaging chess lessons, and even practice tournaments with an awards ceremony at the end of the week! Beginners through Advanced players are welcome and will rapidly improve their chess skills and learn important mindsets for success while having fun! Interspersed throughout the week, campers will participate in various sports or physical fun activities ensuring more than the brain is being exercised (indoors and outdoors as permitted). For check in/check out, be sure to look for the CHESS signs and our helpers to direct your child on where to go. Driving: Please plan to park in the lot on the north side of the building, and come inside with your child through door “B” on the west side (facing Dakota Ave) of Abiding Savior Academy middle school campus. Check your child in for the day between 8:30 and 9:00 am. Then, also come inside again and check them out at the end of the day between 3:45 and 4:20 pm. For your child's safety, if someone other than the listed parent(s) is picking them up, please let me know ahead of time as they cannot be released unless we know.Bus: A Sioux Area Metro Blue line bus stop (Minnesota &37th) is 0.1 mi from the school.
